In order to qualify to use your HSA or FSA card for a Studio Bloom subscription, the IRS requires you to have a Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN). Studio Bloom has partnered with Flex to enable asynchronous telehealth visits as part of our checkout. Within 24 hours of your purchase, Flex will email you both an itemized receipt.
A Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN) is a document written by a healthcare provider that explains why a specific medical service, treatment, or equipment is necessary for a patient's health. In relation to an HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), an LOMN is often required for reimbursement of expenses that are not clearly defined as eligible under the standard IRS guidelines.
You should keep your LOMN on file for at least three years in the event of an IRS audit of your HSA or FSA account. Occasionally, FSAs may ask for the Letter to confirm eligibility of your purchase.
You are responsible for the one-time LOMN service fee of $20.00. This fee is charged at checkout and is covered by your HSA/FSA funds.
Please note, if you cancel your membership before your trial ends, you will need to contact Flex to receive the refund for the service fee.
Unfortunately, no. The individual who completed the checkout flow also completed an async telehealth visit with one of Flex’s providers in the background. To change the details on the Letter of Medical Necessity, we can issue you a refund and your husband/friend etc. can go through the checkout flow themselves.
Sales tax for eligible items is also covered by HSA/FSA funds.
Unfortunately, updating your Payment Method via Settings > Manage Membership > Change Payment Method is not yet available. You will need to contact Studio Bloom Customer Support at support@thebloommethod.com to help you apply this payment method your plan.
Unfortunately, maintaining the HSA/FSA payment method when switching subscription plans via Settings > Manage Membership > Change Membership is not yet available. You will need to cancel and then re-subscribe, or contact Studio Bloom Customer Support to help you apply this payment method your plan after switching.
